A major milestone has been reached on the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) project as teams successfully navigated a delicate geological shear zone underground. Following this breakthrough, equipment deployment is being scaled up to accelerate progress. Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy commended the workforce's resilience through the difficult terrain. Designed to bring over 30 tmcft of water to drought-prone areas in the erstwhile Nalgonda districts, the project balances rapid excavation with uncompromising safety protocols as it charges toward its June 2028 water-delivery goal.
